Rocket.Chat: logins intermittent outages

This morning today until ca. 11 am logins to Rocket.Chat were intermittently unavailable. Previously logged-out users found themselves unable to login despite a successful login process. Users with existing sessions - active or inactive - were not affected.

The problem was temporarily resolved with a restart and configuration change to the service.

General reminder: the service Rocket.Chat has been flagged as end-of-life[1] since last year and will be discontinued[2] by the end of September. Users should switch to GWDG Matrix as soon as possible and export[3] their Rocket.Chat data if desired.
