Lustre Grete/RZG (A.K.A. Scratch/Work Grete) will be unmounted (/scratch-grete and /mnt/lustre-grete) from nodes in the MDC on September 1. The MDC nodes are in the following islands:

  • Emmy P2
  • Emmy P1
  • SCC Legacy GPU nodes used in JupyterHPC for GPU desktops

It will still remain mounted on RZG nodes on all Grete islands and the Emmy P3 island.

This is being done so that the LNET gateways that have allowed cross-data-center Lustre access can be repurposed to be general purpose gateways, which will increase the available bandwidth for accessing Ceph HDD and Ceph SSD.
