A major upgrade of the Ceph version used is carried out on several Ceph clusters. For some clusters, structural changes will also be made as a result of the new possibilities in line with current best practices. In particular, the transition to a container-based architecture should be mentioned here.

All upgrades/conversions are carried out online without interrupting the respective storage services, although residual risks cannot be completely ruled out. All non-SSD clusters with the S3 and CephFS areas offered are potentially affected by the upgrade. It will probably not be possible to carry out all the necessary upgrades / changes in this one maintenance window, so further maintenance dates must be expected at a later date.
