Extension of the perimeter firewall of the University of Göttingen and GWDG from 2026-01-15 18:00 CET to 2026-01-15 20:00 CET

This maintenance is now starting as planned.

There will be work on the perimeter firewall of the University of Göttingen and GWDG. All data packets between the Internet and GWDG services or between the Internet and the University of Göttingen pass through these devices.

We do not expect any major disruptions as a result of the work, but there may be isolated connection interruptions.

Note: The change was originally planned for December, but had to be postponed for operational reasons.

The reason for the measure is to increase the bandwidth between the Internet and GWDG/University of Göttingen by installing more powerful and modern hardware.
