Temporary Network Restriction in the SharePoint Environment

The GWDG is currently preparing to transition to a new SharePoint environment. During the migration phase, content will be transferred and related adjustments will be made to the system environment. For security reasons, access to the current SharePoint environment will be temporarily restricted during this transition phase starting August 10, 2026 for a few weeks to the intranet and connections via eduVPN only. We are aware that this will cause some inconvenience and, in particular, make collaboration with third parties more difficult. As soon as the new SharePoint environment is fully operational, access will once again be possible as usual without eduVPN. This is expected to be completed by the end of August 2026 at the latest. Until then, please ensure that you have set up eduVPN if you wish to access any of the affected SharePoint sites during this period.
