This maintenance has been concluded as planned.
Dear GWDG HPC users,
in calender week 38 our electricity supplier has to conduct the 5 year
maintenance on the transformer station supplying the modular data
center, which hosts the major part of the SCC and the scratch1
filesytem.
This maintenance requires shutting down the power supply of
the data center requiring a full shutdown of all systems at this site.
As the central scratch1 filesystem is installed on this site, the whole
GWDG HPC operation will have a downtime.
We will shutdown the systems on Monday September 18th at 9am and expect
the systems to be back in operation over the course of the afternoon of
September 21st.
As usual we will use the downtime for regular maintenance work on the
system like software updates and bugfixes for the storage system.
