WSUS: Release of the upgrade to Windows 11 24h2 for all Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers

At the end of mainstream support for Windows 10 and older versions of Windows 11, we will release the upgrade to Windows 11 24h2 for all Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers in the regular WSUS target groups on 14 October 2025.

All compatible Windows 10 computers (except LTSC) will then install the in-place upgrade to Windows 11. An installed ESU licence for extended support does not prevent the upgrade. Computers that do not meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11 will not receive the upgrade. Windows 11 computers will install the feature update to 24h2.

Opt-out: Windows 10 computers that are not to receive the in-place upgrade must first be migrated to the WSUS target group ‘Win10’.
