The new storage has been brought online between 7pm and 8pm on Friday.
All primary user data has been copied from the old storage to the new storage with a final synchronization during the downtime.
As previously mention, due to the amount of user data various cache files where excluded from the copying process. User who had additional software installed in their environment may likely have to reinstall them again.

Jupyter-Cloud: new storage, important information, a new outlook
In an effort to improve performance and reliability the service Jupyter-Cloud is receiving new storage right now.
The copying of user files has already been going on and is almost finished. The switch will be made once the copying is finished, hence a precise time cannot be scheduled but it will be either later today or during Saturday. The service will go into maintenance mode for 0.5-1h during this process.

Dear operators of the service providers,
from February 17, 2026 to February 19, 2026 a certificate change will be carried out for the following Identity Providers (IdPs):

A guide is available for importing data from Jupyter-Cloud into the new CoCalc service: Guide
Today, the list of available AI models for the new CoCalc service (https://cocalc.gwdg.de) has been updated and expanded.
These LLMs can be used to draft, correct, or translate texts.
Specifically, models for multilingualism, code editing, and scientific context have been added (see also https://docs.hpc.gwdg.de/services/chat-ai/models/index.html#open-weight-models-hosted-by-gwdg).
All models in the selection list have a brief description of their purpose or characteristics.

We are very pleased to announce that the continued operation of the Academic Cloud for Lower Saxony has been secured for another year.
This means that the Academic Cloud will remain fully available to all users at participating universities in Lower Saxony.

In the period from 27.10.2025 00:00 to 05.11.2025 09:00, tokens for multi-factor authentication could no longer be removed by the institute administrators for certain user groups. The problem has now been resolved.
At the end of mainstream support for Windows 10 and older versions of Windows 11, we will release the upgrade to Windows 11 24h2 for all Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers in the regular WSUS target groups on 14 October 2025.

The function update 24h2 for Windows 11 will be released for all WSUS target groups on 14.10.25 at 10 am.
On 10/24/2015 at 10am, the in-place upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 will be released to all regular WSUS audiences. All compatible Windows 10 computers using our WSUS service will begin downloading the upgrade in the following hours. A reboot will be required for installation. With the current update of the ownCloud client to version 6, a bug has been discovered on macOS systems. This bug causes files with umlauts in their file names to be deleted during synchronization.
This bug only affects the client for macOS. Windows and Linux clients are not affected. This is not a problem on our end, but rather a bug in the ownCloud software itself. We have already reported the problem to ownCloud, but are currently unable to fix the cause ourselves.
